Welcome to the Team!
The Purple for Parents PAC is pleased to announce that Sarah Williams has accepted the role of President, effective immediately. She has been with Purple for Parents since its inception in 2018.
She brings with her a diverse background including experience with homeschooling, a passion for helping families choose the best educational plan and the desire to help reform the current public school model.
Williams has previously been the Vice President of a corporate relocation company that provided relocating employees with educational options available near them. Williams is the mother of a college senior, but during her educational journey, she spent time in public, charter, and private schools.
Williams ended up homeschooling her daughter from 5th grade through high school graduation. Her daughter managed to be accepted into every college she applied to. She is now a straight-A college student at GCU, and will be graduating after only three years. Additionally, she was the recipient of GCU’s highest academic scholarship and is also a member of two honor societies.
Williams and her family have traveled together to all 50 states. She has also traveled with her daughter to 16 different countries. She knows first hand how blessed she is here in Arizona. She does not want to see school choice and other options fall by the wayside. Homeschooling was the right choice for her family, but it may not be the right choice for every family.
She currently resides with her husband, Boyd. He is a graphic designer. They have known each other since pre-school! They attended school together all the way through college!
Lastly, Williams has lots of teachers in her family and friends groups. She wants to support teachers just as much as parents.
“Thank you for the opportunity to move this battle forward. Special thanks to Forest for starting this group and leading with passion! Let’s make sure we are all doing what we can to support him in his campaign! He brings lots of value and great ideas to the table!”
